Billy
Sandifer Among other things, Billy Sandifer is known for
his common-sense approach to maintaining our
national shoreline. "Just do it," is the motto and he's right
in there organizing cleanup crews and maintenance volunteers to insure
today's beautiful seashore is there for future generations. Something
else you should know - he's not afraid to fish. Fortyplus years of experience
has made him an expert on Texas saltwater fishing. A colorful character
and a great fisherman...you've just got to hear him. |
Chuck
Scates Along with Phil Shook, Chuck co-authored the wildly
popular book “Fly Fishing the Texas Coast.” That should
give you some indication of his angling expertise. He holds an IGFA
world record, designs fly patterns and runs a guide service. He's a
busy man but not so busy that he can't stop to tell you how to catch
big trout. |
Rus

this out for a real adventure! |
Brandon
Shuler Although Brandon is an expert on inshore tailing and
sight-fishing reds and trout, his true passion lies outside of the jetties
stalking pelagics, tarpon, jacks and sharks. Pursuing the biggest fish
possible and saltwater flyfishing are his focus. Proper equipment, flies,
techniques and strategies are all included in his exciting first-person
presentation. |
Casey
Smartt Casey is the fly fishing editor for Gulf Coast Connections
Magazine. He didn't get there by accident since he's been fly fishing
and tying flies
for almost thirty years. He likes fly fishing for 'most anything but
his true passion is in hunting fish and the Texas surf and kayaking
for reservoir stripers. Tackle, techniques, rigging and striper biology
are all included in his kayak seminar. |
 Scott
Sparrow & Larry Shriver "The least pressured,
most available saltwater fly fishery in North America." That's
how Arroyo City's Kingfisher Inn is described and we have no reason
to doubt it. Capt. Scott and Capt. Larry (owners and managers of the
Inn) can tell you more but they're really here to fill you in on fishing
the incredibly beautiful Laguna Madre. We daresay their seminar will
prompt you in many different ways. |
Kevin
Stubbs How about rainbow trout fishing on the Lower
Guadalupe? Or chasing trophy-sized bass on the Devil's, San Marcos and
Llano rivers? Kevin's done it and more. In fact, he specializes in river
fishing. It's his job as manufacturer's representative to test
new products and does he ever. Guide, outfitter, expert...what's not
to like? |
Billy
Trimble Gear, guides, approaches, techniques...if it's a
redfish you want, Gary knows how to catch it. His fishing expertise
comes from countless hours kayaking and poling the shallow waters of
Port O'Connor all the way to Port Isabel. This Captain can get you ready,
get you organized and increase your fishing success. What more do you
want from a seminar? |
Stacy
Trimble See Stacy Lynn on the casting pond and she'll
show you the skills fly casters should practice and know for the challenges
of saltwater fishing. She's got tips for staying ready, casting into
the wind and presenting the fly demos and, best of all, how to

Chuck
Uzzle Chuck specializes in light tackle and fly fishing for
speckled trout, redfish and stripers in the rich waters of the Sabine
Lake & River system. Having fished this area for the last 20 years,
it’s not surprising he’s a professional guide. Local lore,
an easygoing attitude and a passion for tackling inshore fish with light
tackle make his fishing trips memorable. |
Kelly
Watson Kelly lives on the crystal-clear Blanco River near
San Marcos. It's the water-of-choice for his speciality which is sightcasting
to trophy-size smallmouth bass. He's not shy about flyrodding for channel
catfish, gar and native cichlids, too. Kelly's got wade and float access
tips for you in addition to sharing his expertise at reading moving
